Double-Slit Experiment
 
When unobserved, the light behave as waves, passing through two slits

When observed, no matter how you secretly observed,  the light will know is being observerd, it behave as particles, passing though only one slit


Applying this double-slit experiment in a wish perspective

After we make a wish
and we keep thinking about one result - this will make the result firm, but not 100% of what we wanted the most
Since what you wish is firm, it increases the chance that is not going to be what you wish due to the nature of the uncontrollable and firm result

But when we make a wish
and we are not thinking about the result, and let go - this will make the result unfirm
two unknown possible
increased the chance the one is more likely what you wish because your wish result is not being firmed,
so the light is not avoid your wish result due to the nature of uncontrollable
